Chapter 30 You Only Live Once
“Abbie, do you want to go out and have some fun? I’ve found a great bar,” Eloise said excitedly.
Abigail took a deep breath and answered, “Sure. Send me the location.”
“Okay, see you there.”
After hanging up the phone, Abigail looked up at the sunset again. The pain in her chest lingered as she laughed at herself for being foolish.
She shouldn’t care anymore since Stephen had already slept with Candace.
Once she got her divorce settlement, she’d have young, handsome men surrounding her, and she’d live freely. So, what was wrong with trying out that life now?
By the time Abigail arrived at Club Empire, Eloise was already waiting at the door. When she spotted Abigail, she went over and hugged her.
“Abbie, how are you even prettier after just a few days?”
Abigail chuckled. “You’re always such a sweet talker.
Eloise linked arms with her and led her into the club. “I heard that the DJ here is quite crazy. You’ll enjoy it!”
“Have you forgotten that I’m a married woman?” Abigail reminded her.
Upon hearing this, Eloise scoffed. “Why should I remember that? Does that jerk know that he’s a married man while fooling around with his so–called first love? Abbie, life is short, so enjoy it while you can. There are plenty of fish in the sea.”
“You’re right!” Abigail nodded, completely agreeing with her. “Let’s drink till we drop!”
Eloise lifted her hand excitedly and shouted, “We’ll drink till we drop!”
People were just beginning to fill the club, and the lights weren’t flashing too brightly yet, but it was evident that the place would be packed.
Eloise had booked a table in advance and led Abigail to it. Then, she called the waiter over. “Bring us your best drinks.”
“Alright.” The waiter left with a grin.
Abigail was looking around the place when Eloise suddenly grabbed her. “Abbie, look over there!”

Abigail followed her words and saw a man in a black leather jacket. He had gray–dyed hair, a delicate and attractive face, and piercing eyes with a hint of sharpness. He had a flamboyant demeanor, and a single look from him was enough to steal hearts.
“Isn’t he hot?” Eloise asked.
Abigail nodded. “He is.”
“He’s the DJ here. He has a fiery temper and seldom acknowledges those who buy him drinks. But I think if he sees you, he’ll instantly be infatuated!” Eloise explained. Abigail turned to look at her. “What are you suggesting?”
Eloise winked and answered, “Life is short, so enjoy it while you can!”
Upon hearing this, Abigail was at a loss for words. She wasn’t prepared to act on it yet.
Just then, the waiter delivered their drinks.
“Let’s drink first.” Abigail grabbed a bottle and poured them the drinks.
“Don’t be scared. Once you dump that jerk, there’s plenty of men out there waiting for you!”
When Abigail heard her remarks, she laughed and took a drink. The drink wasn’t very strong, and it had a wonderful sweet and sour flavor.
She couldn’t help but drink one glass after another. Soon, her eyesight began to blur. She shook her head, and somehow, her gaze landed on the gray–haired man.
However, she saw Stephen’s cold face instead of the man’s face.
Since he didn’t care, why should she worry?
Eloise had a point. There were plenty of men waiting for her.
Abigail stumbled to her feet and walked straight toward the gray–haired man.
