Chapter 38 Let’s Finalize the Divorce
Abigail ended the call and turned to Stephen. “I need to go back to the company.”
His expression was cold as he stated, “Let’s finalize the divorce first.”
She felt a pang in her heart and said, “We cop finalize the divorce any time, but I can’t lose my job. You know very well that I need this job.”
Stephen stared at her with his dark eyes for a moment before he ordered, “Take us to the company.”
With that, the driver instantly changed directions.
After getting out of the car, Abigail rushed toward the elevators, When it arrived, she walked in and completely disregarded Stephen as she pressed the button to close the doors. However, just as the doors were about to shut, a hand reached in and triggered the sensor, causing the doors to open again.
When she saw this, she was utterly speechless.
There was another elevator, yet he insisted on taking the same one as her.
As Stephen’s towering figure stepped inside, the space became even smaller.
Standing in the corner, Abigail opened the files on her phone. She carefully studied all the information, ensuring that she didn’t make any errors while discussing it with her supervisor later.
The elevator doors quickly opened, and she stepped out without looking back.
The gloom in Stephen’s eyes gradually faded as he watched her slender figure walk
away.
When Abigail entered the office, she figured that something was wrong. Everyone had a serious look on their face, and the supervisor was pacing back and forth, visibly disturbed.
“Mr. Brown, what happened?”
Upon seeing her arrival, Desmond Brown instantly exclaimed, “The design blueprints for Cubeshack have been leaked. Someone has taken the blueprints and contacted the people at Havast Corporation first. They called me earlier and said that they would reconsider the cooperation.
“Abigail, you’re responsible for the Cubeshack project. Have you taken any materials

out of the company during this period?”
Abigail’s expression became serious. “Mr. Brown, are you suspecting me of leaking the blueprints?”
He answered, “I’ve checked with everyone else, and they all have alibis. You’re the only one who’s been coming to work early and leaving late, then sometimes skipping work for several days. Abigail, I know you’re competent, but I can’t help but be skeptical.”
“I was hospitalized due to a work–related injury,” she explained.
Suddenly, a woman’s voice sounded. “Isn’t it easier for you to do something at the hospital?”
The woman was Kiran Vance. She had previously competed with Abigail for the Cubeshack project, which Abigail had ultimately won.
Abigail asked her, “Did you see me leak the prints?”
Kiran paused before answering, “Of course not.
“Then, what are you talking about?”
Kiran’s face instantly became unpleasant.

Desmond waved his hand to stop them from continuing. “This isn’t the time to argue. The most important thing now is to preserve the cooperation with Havast
Corporation. You’re all aware that if the cooperation is successful, it will be a big accomplishment for our organization, and promotions and raises will undoubtedly
follow.”
He paused and turned to Abigail. “Since you’re the project leader, what do you think?”
Abigail lowered her eyes and pondered momentarily, then asserted, “I will recoup the loss and persuade Havast Corporation to work with us again.”
Upon hearing this, Kiran scoffed. “What bold words.”
Abigail then shot a cold glare at her.
Kiran mumbled a curse under her breath and walked away.
Desmond remarked, “Okay, it’s all on you now. Everyone, get back to work.”
Afterward, Abigail returned to her desk and stared at her computer in concentration for a moment before reaching for her phone to message Eloise.
