Upon seeing that, Abigail furrowed her brows and asked immediately, “What are you doing?”
Stephen said, “The people here already know that we’re married. It’s not appropriate to be lodging separately.”
Abigail asked, “Why do I think that they wouldn’t pay any attention to your private life?
Stephen said, “It’s just in case.”
By this time, it was already too late for Abigail to press the button for

Stephen walked out of the elevator. She waited until he was a distance away before she stepped out. Instead of following him, she walked in the direction of the stairwell.
Stephen looked at her. At the same time, he raised his hand to tug at his necktie. Abigail.”
She stopped in her tracks. “What is it?”
She didn’t turn around. So, she missed out on seeing the intense look that flashed across his deep eyes.
He let out an unnoticeable sigh and said, “There isn’t actually any conflict between us. Wouldn’t it be a good thing for us to interact amicably?”
Abigail tightened her hands into fists.
He was now talking about having an amicable relationship with her?
That was what she wanted previously, but what did he end up doing?
At the very beginning, because she wasn’t agreeable to the divorce, he got mad at
her.
It even made her think that he was possessed.
Yet, he was requesting to have an amicable relationship now?

party.
Abigail turned her head to look at him. “You are the one who’s being mindful about not embarrassing yourself, not me. No one would know who I am after we get divorced.”
The look on her face showed how she was completely unbothered.
If he wanted to be amicable, he had to pay for it, then!
Stephen looked into her eyes, which contained a mocking gaze. He took a heavy breath. She really did have the guts to ask for such a high price.
Seeing that he wasn’t saying anything, Abigail walked toward him with her arms crossed in front of her chest. She watched him with a cryptic look on her face.
“Or… Shall we cancel the divorce? Of course, I will fulfill all my responsibilities as your wife, and you have to be a good husband. Forget about repaying anyone’s kindness and all that.”
“Five million dollars. Move up to my room,” Stephen stated coldly.
Thereafter, he turned around and took his room card out. He walked straight to a particular door, swiped his card, and went in
Abigail smiled. Before the smile disappeared from her face, it had already turned into a bitter smile.
She sighed. Did she always have to bring up Candace before he would be instantly resigned to a compromise?
Did he like her that much?
If so, why wouldn’t he just divorce her straightforwardly?
The doorbell rang. Stephen opened the door and saw Abigail standing at the door with a frosty expression on her face.
“Where are your bags?”
“I didn’t bring them.”
Abigail entered the room. After her succinct response, she started scanning the
room.
This was a presidential suite. There were three rooms within, two of which were

bedrooms and one study. The living room was spacious, and the real leather couch was soft.
Abigail headed straight to the second bedroom. “I’m taking this room.”
In a gruff voice, Stephen said, “You’re staying with me.”
Abigail looked at him with a sarcastic gaze. “Is your business partner going to ask about whether we’re sleeping in separate rooms? Wouldn’t that be a bit rude of him?”
Looking into her eyes, Stephen was somehow irritated. However, he said, “I can pay more.”
“In your dreams!”
The smile on Abigail’s face vanished. She waved her phone at him. “Transfer the five million dollars right now. As for anything else, don’t you even think about it!”
