Chappie 64 Can You Stop Hating Me?
Why should he want a divorce just because his memory returned?
But seeing Candace’s broken leg, all that regret and anger vanished.
“I don’t regret it,” Abigail said. “Meeting you might just be my fate.”
Stephen gave a chuckle. “I’ll make it up to you, then.”
“What?” Abigail was taken aback. She had a bad feeling.
“Can you stop hating me after today?” he asked.
Before Abigail could respond, he suddenly wrenched the steering wheel, and the car veered toward the guardrail.
This was a dangerous maneuver to force the car to stop. If the car continued, no one could predict what would happen next.
The method was perilous. If not executed correctly, the car could crash into the guardrail, destroying the front end and killing them both.
Abigail had no time to think. She could only watch as Stephen controlled the steering wheel with a tense expression. The side of the car crashed into the guardrail, then continued moving forward, but the speed did slow.
Even so, the car was still moving too fast.
Just then, the guardrail broke, and the car plunged downward into the forest below. It was crashing into a tree.
At the last second, Stephen yanked the wheel sharply. The car’s left side slammed into the tree, while the right side lightly scraped against another.
At the moment of impact, Abigail couldn’t contain her scream.
The car finally came to a stop.
However, Stephen had fallen unconscious.
“Stephen? Stephen!” Abigail frantically unbuckled her seatbelt and reached out to touch his face, only to see a bleeding wound on the side of his head.
Her face went pale with fear, and tears streamed down her cheeks.
“You can’t be hurt. You can’t be hurt! What nonsense about making it up to me? I didn’t agree to that!”
In a panic, she scrambled to find her phone. Her fingers trembled as she called for help.
