Chapter 86 Let Me Go
Stephen said in a low and menacing voice “I’m tempted to sew your mouth shut.”
Abigail replied, “But I’m afraid that won’t work, since
there’s no-”
Before she could finish, Stephen’s hot, forceful kiss cut her off.
It was intense, as if he were releasing some pent–up emotion. The kiss was so consuming that Abigail struggled to breathe.
She tried to push his shoulders away, but he held her wrist tightly behind her back, pulling her even closer.
Seizing the moment, Abigail bit his lip. However, Stephen deepened the kiss instead of stopping.
Abigail felt as though her breath was being stolen away.
Stephen must be out of his mind.
She regretted coming in too early. If she had waited until they were finished, she wouldn’t have been treated like this.
Stephen slid his long fingers under her clothes, exploring every sensitive spot on her body. Realizing she had no strength left to resist, he finally released her. Yet, he kept his nose pressed against hers.
“Abigail, why are you getting so close to Hugh? Do you even know what kind of person he is?” Stephen’s voice was dangerous.
Abigail’s eyes filled with tears from the forceful kiss. She glared at him with fiery anger and snapped back, “What does it matter to you?”
Since Candace and him were all over each other, why couldn’t she find her own distraction?
Stephen’s eyes narrowed dangerously. He grabbed her leg and spun her around, making her sit on his lap.
Abigail regained some strength but didn’t pull away. Instead, she looked at him with a smirk. “Stephen, could it be that you’ve lost interest in Candace and are using me as an excuse not to divorce?”
She was just trying to provoke him, but as soon as the words left her mouth, Stephen kissed her again. This time, it was even fiercer.
“Damn it, what a beast!” Abigail cursed him internally but eventually gave in. “Not

here…”
Stephen’s breath caught. He shifted his kisses to her neck, then finally stopped.
“Stephen, you used to keep your promises. You said you’d give me 30 million dollars. How can you just change your mind?” Abigall asked.
At that moment, all she cared about was the money. She had come to realize that money was the only thing in this world that wouldn’t betray her.
Stephen said, “That was the divorce settlement. Since we’re not divorced, why should I give it to you?”
Abigail was so angry she almost choked.
She smiled slightly. “Alright, if you’re not going to give me the divorce settlement, surely you can provide some living expenses? After all, I’m Mrs. Lockhart now. If word gets out that you’re giving me nothing, you’ll be the laughingstock.
Stephen shrugged. “It doesn’t bother me.”
Abigail stared at him, wondering if he was really determined to be this unreasonable.
The ceiling of the private room was intricately designed, and their reflections faintly danced across it. She blinked and asked, “Do you really want me dead?”
Stephen looked up with a deep frown. “What are you talking about?”
Abigail met his gaze. “I was nearly killed that night, but Hugh saved me. Stephen, let me go. I don’t want to die so young.”
Stephen wondered which night she meant. Was it the night she had returned with Hugh?
Stephen’s frown deepened as he scrutinized her, trying to determine the truth behind her words.
The distrust in his gaze pained Abigail.
She looked at him in disbelief. “You don’t believe me?”
