Chapter 101 You Are More Frightening
He… He had actually come out without wearing anything. What a
pervert!
Abigail abruptly turned her head and hurried to the walk–in–wardrobe. She found one of her bath towels and threw it at Stephen. “Hurry up
and put this on. I’m getting eye sores.”
Stephen was speechless. The bath towel was pink and not very big. It was barely enough to wrap around his waist. After he wrapped it, Abigail glanced at him and couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
Did it have to be this funny? A tall man with long arms and long legs -wrapped in a tight pink bath towel…
Seeing Abigail smile, Stephen’s gaze softened slightly. He went to the bed, lifted the blanket, and lay down.
Abigail was stunned. “What are you doing?”
“Sleeping,” Stephen replied.
“You can’t sleep here. This is my room!” Abigail exclaimed.
“Aren’t you supposed to protect me closely?” Stephen asked.
Was this close enough?
The smile on Abigail’s face disappeared bit by bit. Her tone became cold as she said, “Stephen Lockhart, this is pointless.”
“Oh,” Stephen simply replied, which made Abigail speechless. A feeling of insignificance washed over her, and she felt utterly
powerless. So, she just turned and walked away.
“Where are you going?” Stephen’s deep and magnetic voice sounded behind her.

“To sleep in another room,” Abigail replied. After all, the place was large with many rooms.
“Aren’t you afraid?” Stephen asked.
“You’re more frightening,” Abigail replied.
Stephen was at a loss for words. Watching her back as she left, the leisurely expression on his face disappeared. His expression
darkened as he frowned.
Abigail went to a guest bedroom. The room was clean and tidy. But she couldn’t sleep because she wasn’t used to the bed.
She tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep. Just as she was about to drift off, the horrifying image from that bloody photo suddenly -appeared in her mind.
This was maddening. Abigail pulled the blanket over her head and turned over again. But it was no use.
Frustrated, she got up and ruffled her hair. Who gave Stephen the right to take over her bedroom. And why did she have to leave?
Expressionless, Abigail returned to the master bedroom. She saw Stephen lying straight on one side, seemingly already asleep. She had been tormented all night, yet he could sleep soundly?
Abigail walked to the other side of the bed. She lay down and used both hands and feet to pull the blanket over to her side. Let him freeze to death.
In her familiar bed, surrounded by familiar scents, Abigail’s irritated mood quickly calmed down. She comfortably closed her eyes, and sleepiness gradually overcame her.
Beside her came the sound of steady breathing. In the darkness, Stephen opened his eyes and slightly turned his head to look at Abigail. She had her back to him, so he could only see the back of her

head.
A strange emotion flickered in Stephen’s heart. He couldn’t quite grasp it, but he didn’t dwell on it either.
The next day, Abigail opened her eyes and was startled to find herself
in Stephen’s arms. She was clinging to him like an octopus. Her cheek was pressed against his chest, feeling the warmth of his
muscles.
Startled, Abigail instinctively moved, only to realize something. Her face turned red at the moment of realization. This damn Stephen wasn’t wearing any clothes. The bath towel had somehow been dislodged.
Abigail was wearing short–sleeved pajamas and shorts. Her legs were coincidentally draped over his.
Abigail looked at Stephen and saw that he hadn’t woken up. So, she held her breath and tried to slowly withdraw her leg. But then, Stephen, suddenly grabbed her ankle.
