Chapter 111 I Like You the Most
Upon hearing this, Paige looked angry. Her wrinkled face was full of indignation as she exclaimed “That little brat! I’ve told him so many times that a wife should be cherished and not bullied. He dares to bully you? I’ll call him right now!”
Paige reached for her phone, which she kept hanging around her neck. It was an old–fashioned phone with buttons equipped with a speed dial. She quickly dialed Stephen’s number.
“Grandma.” Stephen’s warm and magnetic voice came through.
Paige glanced at Abigail, who put a finger to her lips, signaling Paige not to reveal her presence.
“Stephen, where are you now?”
Stephen responded, “I’m at home. Are you missing me, Grandma?”
Paige snorted. “Why would I miss you? Do you miss me? Tell me, how long has it been since you last came to see me?”
Stephen replied, “I’ve been a bit busy lately. I’ll come over right now.”
“Good. I’ll be waiting for you!” Paige exclaimed.
After hanging up, she turned to Abigail with a smile. “Wait up. Grandma will get justice for you.”
Abigail hugged Paige. “Why are you so good to me, Grandma?” They had never met before. But since a chance encounter, Paige had taken a liking to her.
Paige always smiled upon seeing Abigail. Paige always smiled upon seeing her and treated her with great affection. This made Abigail, who had never experienced familial love, feel a strange sense of belonging. It was as if Paige was Abigail’s own grandmother.

Paige hugged Abigail back. “Because I like you the most.”
Abigail’s heart softened. She suddenly felt a bit guilty for using Paige to get back at Stephen. Maybe it wasn’t a good idea after all.
They strolled around the garden for a while. Estimating that it was almost time, Abigail said, “Grandma, when he arrives, don’t tell him.
I’m here. I’ll hide.”
Paige asked, “Why?”
Abigail explained, “Otherwise, he’ll think I tattled on him and will bully me even more when we get back.”
“Alright, alright,” Paige said. Her eyes were bright as she watched Abigail hide. She even seemed a bit eager but did not forget her mission–to teach Stephen a lesson. No one could bully Abigail without facing consequences.
When Stephen arrived, he saw Paige sitting in her wheelchair, at blanket over her lap, basking in the sun.
But Stephen’s gaze darkened as he quickly approached. “Grandma, isn’t there anyone here to keep you company?”
Paige said with a mischievous smile, “Kneel down, Stephen.”
Although he was puzzled, Stephen complied and asked, “Grandma, what’s the matter?”
The next moment, Paige’s smile disappeared as she raised her hand
and smacked him on the head.
Stephen was stunned. “Grandma?”
Paige grabbed his ear and twisted it. “Tell me, have you been bullying your wife?”
Stephen’s usually handsome face contorted with pain. He didn’t dare to struggle, so he endured the pain and said, “No, Grandma. I haven’t
bullied her.”
Paige twisted harder and shouted, “If you didn’t bully her, why doesn’t she come to visit me anymore? How many times have I told you that a wife should be cherished? If you don’t cherish her, someone else will. Then, she won’t want you anymore!”
