Chapter 124 What’s Left to Consider
Abigail looked at her. I want you to take back what you said.”
Shaking her am, Edise peade. “Adbie, plessé Preny ped
In the end, Abigall’s heart softened and she couldn’t resist her pleading. She agreed, “Alright”
Eloise beamed with joy and turned to Hugh. When does it start
He said, “No rush. I’ll come get you when its time. You two enjoy yourselves for now.” With that, he turned and walked away
Abigail and Eloise took their seats in the best booth. The waiter began bringing them drinks and fruit platters.
Abigail held her glass, looking at the brightly colored drink and saying. “I suddenly regret this.” She felt like she was just causing more trouble. With all the problems she was dealing with, dragging Hugh into it would only make things worse
Hearing that, Eloise reassured her, “Abble, you’re overthinking it. It’s just a dance. When was the last time you danced?”
Abigail replied, “I can’t anymore. I’m too old and stiff.”
Laughing, Eloise replied, “Just think of it as you’re fulfilling my wish.”
Abigail gave her a helpless look. “Well, it’s too late to regret now.”
Eloise laughed and clinked her glass with Abigail’s.
Time passed, and the atmosphere in the bar grew livelier. When a few guys finished their performance and left the stage, the lights suddenly
went out.
In the next moment, Abigail felt her wrist being grabbed. Startled, she asked, “Who is it?”
“It’s me.” Hugh’s voice sounded. Then, with a smile on his face, he pulled her onto the stage.
“Abigail, focus on the dance.” With that, Hugh placed one hand on her waist. For a moment, Abigail’s body tensed up, but she quickly
relaxed.
How long had it been since she last danced? She had been so busy that she even neglected her own hobbies. And now, being tormented by Stephen, her life hardly felt like her own anymore. What was there
left to consider?
Flashes of Stephen protecting Candace crossed her mind, causing a dull ache in her chest. But she quickly adjusted her mood, and soon, a smile spread across her face.
“Alright,” she agreed.
Music began to play, and her eyes lit up–it was a song she had danced to before. She still remembered it.
The audience went wild seeing Hugh on stage, especially the ladies, whose screams filled the air.
The song’s rhythm was fast and strong. Abigail quickly matched Hugh’s steps, even starting to outpace him. At that moment, a few people walked in through the door.
Justin had his hands in his pockets as he said, “Stephen, you haven’t changed in two years. You’re still such an old–fashioned guy, avoiding lively places like this. What do you even do at home?”
Stephen looked indifferent as he walked beside Justin, ignoring his
words.
Justin glanced at the bustling bar, clicking his tongue twice. “This place has a great vibe. Those two on stage are dancing well. The man’s eyes are practically sparkling when he looks at the woman.”

Hearing Justin’s remark, Stephen’s gaze instinctively fell on the stage. Upon seeing the two dancers, however, his expression darkened instantly.
At this moment, the song reached its final beats. Hugh held Abigail’s waist, and she dramatically threw her head back while hooking her arm around Hugh’s neck. They locked eyes, an indescribable emotion between them.
Loud cheers erupted from the crowd.
Justin patted Stephen’s arm, saying, “Those two are great. They make a good pair. What do you think about me signing them? They’ll be famous in no time.” When he turned his head, however, he was met with Stephen’s gloomy expression.
