Chapter 132 Come In Anytime
Stephen sat down at the table with a noble and indifferent demeanor “Let’s eat first”
Walking over, Abigail snatched the cutlery from his hands and
slammed them down on the table “Stephen Lockhart, how did you get in?”
His expression was calm as he looked at her. Seeing that she was angry, he felt inexplicably pleased. “So you think changing the password lock would stop me? As long as I want, I can come in #nytime.”
He stared at her, his voice deep and magnetic. However, Abigail felt that he was referring to something else entirely.
frecalling the events of last night, she grew even angrier.
“Forget eating! You’re not having any of this. It’s all my stuff!” Abigail shouted. She moved the dishes and cutlery away from him. Then, she sat at the farthest end of the table, where she ate by herself.
Stephen, who was watching her, suddenly laughed softly. “Abigail, why are you so childish?”
She remained silent. What else could she do? She was powerless against him.
Stephen wasrit angry. He just observed her with a playful interest, and after she finished eating, he said, “I found out some things about the person who was going to harm you”
Pausing, she looked at him. “Whos that person?”
Stephen didn’t continue talking and only gazed at her.
Pursing her lips, Abigail pushed the dishes back toward him. Stephen
took a sip of milk before continuing, “His name is Cedrus Park. He was just released from prison when he came looking for you.”
Taken aback, Abigail furrowed her brows together. “I don’t know this person.”
He said, “I know. After he looked for you that time, he disappeared. He’s very good at hiding. Without solid evidence, the police won’t be able to do anything to him even if they catch him.”
Abigail fell silent for a moment before asking, “Is there any
connection to the Lockhart family?” She had always thought Cedrus Dewas
was targeting her simply because she was Stephen’s wife. She thought she was merely caught in the crossfire.
Stephen replied, “It’s still unclear.”
Abigail’s expression grew more serious. “It’s very likely related to the Lockhart family. How many enemies do you have?”
Stephen looked at her. “What? Are you scared?”
She seemed to find his question amusing. “That person is trying to kill me. Who in their right mind wouldn’t be scared?”
Hearing that, Stephen’s smile faded. “Fear won’t help. Since he’s set his sights on you, he won’t give up easily. You keep shouting about divorcing me, but you might as well stay with me. I’ll get people to protect you in secret.”
Abigail said, “You could still send people to protect me after the divorce. After all, I’m involved in this only because of you.”
He replied, “Why should I still protect you when we’re already divorced? What would you be to me?”
“You…” Abigail was very upset. When she saw him eat, she once again moved the dishes away from him.
Stephen didn’t say anything more and stood up, making a move to
leave.
However, Abigail couldn’t eat anymore. The feeling of having someone out to get her was truly uncomfortable.
Cedrus Park… She thought about this name carefully but had no impression of him. Why was he imprisoned?
Abigail looked up to ask Stephen, but he had already left. She was silent for a while, then cleaned up and walked to the door. Staring at the password lock, she took out her phone and dialed a number.
