Chapter 155 Won’t Let Her Get Away
Feeling a wave of unease, Abigal lowered her gaze slightly.
Sasha had immediately targeted her, suggesting that she might be responsible for poisoning Stephen. The thought of Sasha’s previous behavior sent a chill through her body.
“Hey, what are you doing?”
Just then, Justin’s voice cut through the tension.
Abigail looked up to see Eloise letting go of him and approaching her. Eloise then took her hand, comforting her, Abbie, everything will be fine.”
Although Abigail often criticized Stephen, Eloise knew that Abigail deeply loved him. Abigail might be set on divorcing Stephen, but she couldn’t simply disregard her feelings for someone she had once loved so deeply.
It was all just an act.
“Eloise!” Justin sounded annoyed. “Don’t you know I’m feeling dizzy? Do you want to see me fall?”
Eloise turned back to him. “If you’re dizzy, why didn’t you just rest in the ward?”
Frustrated, Justin facepalmed himself.
Abigail then said to Eloise, “Don’t be too harsh on him. The sooner he recovers, the sooner you’ll be free.”
Eloise pursed her lips and addressed Justin. “Wait here for a

moment.”
With that, she turned around and walked away.
Justin frowned. “Where are you going?”
Eloise didn’t bother answering him and left in a hurry.
Justin looked at Abigail. “Your friend seems unreliable.”

Abigail replied, “Maybe you should hire a nurse if you trust her. What if she ends up injuring you while taking care of you?”
Justin chuckled. “Forget it. She’s doing a good job. If she hurts me, she’ll have to take care of me longer.”
Abigail remained silent.
Five minutes later, Eloise returned with a wheelchair and approached Justin.
“Come on, sit down.”
Justin eyed the wheelchair and then Eloise’s face. “I’m not disabled.”
Eloise blinked. “Didn’t you say you’re feeling dizzy? Sitting here will help. Besides, who knows if you might become disabled one day? It’s good to get used to it.”
Justin was left speechless. He felt his head throbbing again.
Their conversation gased the oppressive atmosphere outside the emergency room.
About two hours later, the door to the emergency room
opened. The gurney was wheeled out. Stephen’s face and lips
and was still unconscious.
“Doctor, how is my son?” Zachary asked upon seeing the doctor.
The doctor replied, “The poison has been contained, but it’ll take some time to detoxify. For now, it looks like he’s going to be okay.”
Zachary breathed a sigh of relief. “That’s good to hear.”
Stephen was his only son now. He couldn’t afford to lose him.
In the VIP ward, everyone stood by Stephen’s bedside, keeping a close watch on his condition.
Sasha glanced at Stephen and then at Abigail. She asked, ” Abigail, are you okay? Do you need to go home and rest? I’m sure you’re quite distressed tonight.”
Zachary frowned and looked at Abigail. Suddenly, he said, “Get her out. She’s not allowed to stay.”
Sasha was stunned. “Honey, what are you doing? Abigail is Stephen’s wife.”
Zachary’s expression darkened. “Stephen wouldn’t have been poisoned if it weren’t for her. I suspect she’s the one who poisoned him! I haven’t gotten the police to arrest her only for Stephen’s sake. But if the investigation proves she’s
responsible, I won’t let her get away with it!“
