Chapter 161 Despicable
Upon hearing Justin’s voice, Eloise couldn’t help but think of that jerk, Stephen.
Indeed, birds of a feather flocked together.
Eloise sneered, “If you want to sue me, go ahead. I’m done dealing with you!”
With that, she hung up and blocked Justin’s number.
In the hospital, Justin stared at his phone in disbelief.
He couldn’t believe Eloise was throwing a tantrum at him.
It was Stephen’s doing and had nothing to do with him!
Justin sighed helplessly. He then tried texting Eloise, only to find his number had been blocked. He was utterly speechless.
Eloise was crossing the line.
With a smirk on his face, he clicked on another number and dialed it. “I need you to take care of something for me.”
Worried that something might happen to Abigail, Eloise stayed with her at Maplewood Residence the whole day.
In the afternoon, she received a call from her boss.
“Eloise, I heard you hit Justin Fairchild?” Her boss‘ voice was
trembling.
Eloise’s expression darkened. “Sir, how did you find out?”
Her boss continued, “Don’t play dumb with me! Justin’s ment came to the company today and want you to take
responsibility. Eloise, aren’t you on leave to take care of him? Where are you now? You have half an hour to show up in front of him, or don’t bother coming back to the company!”
With that, her boss hung up!
Eloise was speechless, her face flushing with anger.
That guy was really something! He even sent people to her workplace!
“What’s wrong?”
Just then, Abigail’s voice rang out.
Eloise quickly turned around and saw Abigail leaning against the doorframe. She had just woken up from a long nap and
looked much better now.
“It’s nothing. It was just a spam call.”
Eloise happily approached her. “How are you feeling now?”
Abigail replied, “I’m feeling hungry.”
Eloise smiled. “I’ll order some takeout. Just wait a minute.”
After returning her smile, Abigail went to get some water.
Once Eloise had ordered the food, Abigail asked, “Did Justin call you earlier?”
Abigail replied, “He won’t let this go easily. Eloise, I’m already in a mess. You can’t afford any more trouble. After we eat, you should head back.”
Eloise felt somewhat reluctant. I don’t want to go back. Every time I see him, I’m reminded of Stephen, and I’m afraid I might just snap.”
Abigail found her statement amusing. “You can think that way, but you can’t act on those thoughts, okay?”
Seeing the redness and puffiness around Abigail’s eyes, Eloise eventually relented. “Alright, I’ll do as you say.”
The two women exchanged a smile.
By the time Eloise returned to the hospital, it was already evening.
A grim–faced Justin could be seen sitting in his wheelchair while a nurse adjusted his pants.
When Eloise walked in, Justin immediately said, “Oh, you’re back?”
Eloise retorted, “Do your family members know how despicable you are?”
Justin shrugged off her taunt and raised an eyebrow. “As long as I can achieve my goal, it’s a good tactic. Don’t you agree?
Eloise took a deep breath, barely restraining herself from going
over and throttling him.
Justin added, “Take good care of me. If I’m in a good mood, I
might say something nice about your friend to Stephen.
Otherwise…”
